Our Weekend Services

Church can be an intimidating place to visit — especially if you don’t know what to expect. We invite you to experience what the gospel means both intellectually and relationally at one of our Sunday worship services (10am). You can engage with others as much as you want, or remain anonymous if you prefer. We hope that through visiting with us, you will experience the hope, love and joy that comes from a community of people who love Jesus.

Authentic Worship

We look for God’s love in our lives as the evidence that we have been truly worshipping Him. At Emmanuel, worship is central to everything. Worship means learning to recognize God’s goodness while delighting to deepen in our responses.

It means purposing together, as individuals and as a community, to unite our actions, intentions, and emotions in loving response to God. It means transforming the ways we think so that what we do and who we are become one—in, for, through, and to the Father, Son, and Spirit.

Teaching from Scripture

We believe that practical, relevant teaching is the catalyst for transformation in an individual's life. Scripture is inspired by God, completely accurate and our authority regarding Christian beliefs and the guide for Christian living.

We value Scripture—the Bible—as the basis for understanding who God is and how to orient our lives fully around Him. You can expect that each Sunday morning will include a set-aside time for hearing from Scripture, as well as practical teaching surrounding God's Word.

First time at Emmanuel?

We know that attending a church service for the first time can be a super scary thing... Being unsure of what the dress, culture or even when to stand up and sit down can be a weirdly paralyzing thought! At Emmanuel, you can expect friendly and authentic people, engaging and relevant music and worship, compelling preaching from the Bible, and an opportunity to encounter God. You will be encouraged and maybe even challenged.

We've provided a first-time visitors guide below that will help you navigate your first time at an Emmanuel gathering, and help ease any questions or concerns you might have before attending.

FIRST TIME VISITORS GUIDE

When you join us for a worship service, small groups, or any other activity, our hope is that you'll have a great experience. Our goal is to provide the following:

  • A Warm, Welcoming Atmosphere - Caring and friendly people that make you feel right at home. Inspiring and uplifting worship service in a comfortable setting with music and messages that you can relate to.
  • Wonderful Preschool and Children's Ministry - Safe and fun place for your children, staffed by caring, competent and committed preschool and children's workers who strive to partner with you to help give your children a biblical foundation that will support them for a lifetime.
  • Relevant Biblical Preaching - Preaching and teaching from God's Word that will give you help and hope for what you're facing in everyday life.
  • Engaging and Uplifting Worship - Biblically driven and culturally relevant music that honors and glorifies God and powerfully engages your heart in worship.
  • A Focus on Families - A deep commitment to strengthening families by equipping couples to have thriving marriages and helping parents raise children that are life-long followers of Jesus Christ.
  • Real Relationships - Emmanuel isn't only a friendly church, we're a church of family. We desire to help you develop a circle of close, trusting, supportive and encouraging friends with whom you can share life together, so you don't have to fight life's battles alone.
  • New Life - Helping you grow in a powerful, life-changing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ that will give you joy, strength, and purpose.
  • A Passion for Local and Global Missions - Whether it's through our monthly medical clinic or in over-seas missions, we constantly seek to serve others in our community and around the world in the name of Christ.
  • What are the services like? - Our Sunday morning service uses a blend of modern praise music and time-honored hymns using a praise band and a praise team. The music is upbeat and uplifting using a full-range of musical instruments such as keyboards, drums, guitars and more. The services are designed to honor God and engage people. The atmosphere is comfortable and the people are very friendly. The preaching is passionate and practical, seeking to explain the eternal truths of God's Word and apply them to your everyday life.
  • What should I wear? - We're relaxed. Come in jeans or khakis; or if you prefer, come in a sport coat or dress. You'll find a variety of styles here. We're far more interested in your heart than your attire.
  • What about my children? - We have excellent ministries for children of all ages. You'll find warm, friendly greeters to assist you in finding the right class for your children. All of our children's workers are trained and screened to insure your child the safest, most enjoyable experience possible. We have Sunday School classes for all ages at 9:00 AM. We provide childcare during the Worship service.
  • What about my teenager? - Your 7th - 12th grade students will love it at Emmanuel because our Student Ministry is high energy and high impact. We strive to help your teens develop Christ-like character, a Biblical worldview and a passion for serving the needs of others and sharing the Gospel locally and around the world. Our students meet for Sunday School in the Youth Room.
  • Where should I park? - We have specially marked spaces for guests on the front end of the building - which is the east side of the church. There is handicapped parking throughout.
  • Do you pressure people to give? - Never - we care far more about you than your money. However, we do take up an offering each week because we rely on our member's financial support to cover all the operating expenses of all of our ministries, missions and programs.
  • Where do I get started? - Most people start out visiting a Sunday Morning Worship Service (10:00 AM). To really get to know people, we hope that you'll take the next step by visiting one of our Sunday morning Bible Study groups (Sunday School) at 9:00 AM. That's best place to develop relationships with our people and to get plugged in at Emmanuel.
